FETA Guidance on Risk Assessment

Following the publication of the introduction to A2L refrigerants, a number of FETA groups have been working on guidance for the industry with regard to Risk Assessments required for compliance with DSEAR – the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulation.

With the growing use of a number of refrigerants which exhibit flammability to various degrees, this is a topic area which may be new to many working in the industry.  It should be noted that all classes of refrigerants are within the scope of DSEAR hence all RACHP installations need to be compliant, not just those using flammable refrigerants.

Specific, application based advice will be produced by FETA in due course.
